1829 Espresso (WatchHouse)

WatchHouse has a short list of coffees on their website which always piques my interest. Their 1829 Espresso is about peanut butter, dark chocolate, and plum. The execution is interesting, peanut butter note is mixed with powdery dark chocolate, plum is on the jammy side, which creates an interesting result.

Plum gets more refined as you move from grind setting 3 to 1. Finer grinds help chocolate and peanut butter too. I would go for grind setting 3 or 2 if powdery chocolate is too powdery at grind setting 1.

Tamping needs to be on the firm side if you want to achieve brewing times of 26 s at grind setting 3, 28 s at grind setting 2, and 30 s at grind setting 1.

MIXING WITH MILK

For best tasting milky coffees, grind at 1.
