George Street (Kiss the Hippo)
It rained today in London. I felt like I needed something that would give me a cuddle instead of challenging me to a duel like some coffees can. I reached out for the George Street blend from Kiss the Hippo, a London-based roaster that is not afraid to inject a little fun and personality into their branding.
George Street is a blend that promises three notes: berries, butterscotch, and chocolate. Berries hint at an acidic profile, which can turn people off in some cases, but I doubt that will be the case when you try this blend. What we have here is a beautiful balance of three simple notes that result in low acidity and tasty berry chocolate flavour that keeps you wanting more.
Grind it at 2 if you want more acidity or at 1 if you prefer almost no acidity at all.
MIXING WITH MILK
George Street works very well with milk or milk substitutes, but it's such a good coffee on its own that it seems like a waste to mix it with dairy.
WHERE TO BUY
You can buy it from many coffee shops or directly from the Kiss the Hippo’s website.
