La Lapa (Amoret Coffee Roasters)

Nicaraguan La Lapa offered by Amoret Coffee Roasters from London is one of those coffees that don’t budge when you adjust grind settings. Whether you grind it at 3, 2, or 1, it will make you tamp it hard and even then you will not be able to brew it for longer than 24s. It’s all forgiven when you taste it.

Orange, grapefruit, ripe guava and candy are served on a chocolate background that gets more pronounced as you decrease the grind setting from 3 to 1. If that list of sweet and fruity notes made you think that it’s going to be a tooth dissolvent fear not, it is none of those things. Acidity here is one of the best on the market and chocolate does an excellent job of creating an exotic mix.

MIXING WITH MILK

It simply demands to be used for flat whites and cappuccinos when ground at 1.
